Terms of Service for Ainmhícon

Last revision: 26/07/2026

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Ainmhicon website (the "Website") or purchasing a ticket to Ainmhicon (the "Convention", "Event"). By accessing the Website, creating an account, or purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Who We Are

Ainmhicon ("we", "us", "our") is operated by AINMHíCON COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE, a company limited by guarantee registered in Ireland, company number 793565.

If you have any questions about these Terms, you can contact us at: mail@ainmhicon.ie

  2. About the Website

The Website provides information about Ainmhicon, a furry convention, and allows users to:

    • Create an account
    • Provide limited personal information required to process purchased tickets for the Event
    • Purchase tickets and Event add-ons for the Convention
    • Access information relevant to attendees

The Website is not intended for any purpose other than engaging with Ainmhicon as an Event, including ticket purchasing and related attendee services.

  3. Accounts

    1. Registration

To purchase tickets or access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree that any information you provide during registration or afterwards is accurate, current, and complete, and you are solely responsible for keeping this information up to date.

    2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, please contact us at mail@ainmhicon.ie.

    3. Signing In With Third-Party Providers

The Website allows you to create an account or sign in using third-party services, including Google and Discord ("Third-Party Providers").

When you use a Third-Party Provider to sign in, we use that service solely for the purpose of authenticating your identity (verifying who you are and letting you access your account). We do not use your Third-Party Provider account to post on your behalf, access unrelated data held by that provider, or for any purpose beyond authentication and, where applicable, retrieving basic profile information (such as your name and email address) needed to set up your account.

Your use of any Third-Party Provider is also subject to that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. We are not responsible for the practices of Third-Party Providers.

  4. Ticket Purchases

    1. Payment Processing

All ticket purchases made through the Website are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not directly store your full payment card details. Your use of Stripe's payment services is subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.

    2. Order Confirmation

Once your payment has been successfully processed, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address associated with your account or provided at checkout. This email serves as your proof of purchase. If you do not receive a confirmation email within a reasonable time, please contact us at mail@ainmhicon.ie.

    3. Ticket Pricing and Availability

Ticket prices, tiers, and availability are set out on the Website and may change at our discretion prior to purchase. Once a purchase is completed, the price paid will not change.

  5. Refunds and Cancellations

We want you to be happy with your purchase, so please read this section carefully.

    1. 14-Day Refund Policy

Under the applicable EU and Irish legislation, Directive 2011/83/EU and Statutory Instrument 347 of 2026 respectively, event tickets for a specific date (such as convention tickets) are normally exempt from the standard 14-day statutory right of withdrawal that applies to most online purchases. Notwithstanding this exemption, we choose to voluntarily offer a 14-day refund window as a goodwill policy for our attendees.

You may request a full refund within 14 days of the date of purchase for any reason, by contacting us at mail@ainmhicon.ie. Ticket sales close well in advance of the Convention date, so this 14-day window will always fall before the Event takes place.

Outside of this 14-day window, tickets are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion.

    2. Event Cancellation

If the Convention is cancelled, postponed, or materially altered by us, we will contact ticket holders with details of available options, which may include a refund, credit, or transfer to a rescheduled date.

  6. Privacy

Any personal data you provide to us, or that we collect through your use of the Website (including via Third-Party Providers), is held and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

  7. Acceptable Use and Code of Conduct

You agree to use the Website only for its intended purposes and not to:

    • Misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website or its systems
    • Provide false or misleading information when creating an account or purchasing a ticket
    • Use the Website for any unlawful purpose

Your conduct both on the Website and at the Convention itself is also governed by our Code of Conduct, which forms part of these Terms. Failure to abide by the Code of Conduct may result in suspension of your account, refusal of entry to the Convention, or removal from the Convention without refund.

  8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

    • The Website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
    • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Website or attendance at the Convention.
    • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
    • Our total liability to you in connection with the Website or the Convention shall not exceed the amount you paid for your ticket.
  9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users (for example, via email or a notice on the Website). Continued use of the Website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

  10. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, signing in via a Third-Party Provider, or purchasing a ticket through the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Code of Conduct.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website.

  11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, and any disputes arising in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
